Nevada Alumni Association Announces New Board Leadership
The Nevada Alumni Association has announced its 2026-2027 executive committee and board of the Nevada Alumni Council, the volunteer advisory body of the Nevada Alumni Association.
Nevada Alumni Council members serve as University of Nevada, Reno ambassadors within the community, advise on graduate engagement opportunities, volunteer for Nevada Alumni Association events and support the University philanthropically.
“The 2026-27 Nevada Alumni Council reflects the strength and diversity of our alumni community,” said Executive Director of Alumni Engagement Amy Carothers. “Council members serve as ambassadors for the University and play a vital role in fostering alumni engagement, supporting student success and creating opportunities for graduates to stay connected to Nevada. I look forward to working alongside them in the year ahead.”
2026-2027 Nevada Alumni Council Executive Committee:
- Christina Stoever-Young, President: Stoever-Young is the founder of Sunshine Tahoe and a 1994 graduate of the University.
- Tiffany McMacken, President-elect: McMacken is principal of The Willow Group and a 2000 graduate of the University.
- Mike Hix, Past President: Hix is regional vice president at the Meadows Bank and a 1989 graduate of the University.
- Carissa Bradley, Treasurer: Bradley is strategic initiatives manager for the City of Reno a 2019 graduate of the University.
- Cher Fesenmaier, Vice President: Fesenmaier is assistant principal of Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, and a 1994 graduate of the University.
- Jennifer Hill, Vice President: Hill is chief development officer for Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and a 1994 graduate of the University.
- McKenna Lewis, Vice President: is a clinical nursing instructor for the Nevada System of Higher Education and a 2011 and 2012 graduate of the University.
In addition to the executive committee, the Nevada Alumni Council is comprised of board members as well as University and Foundation leaders who serve as ex officio board members.
