Who doesn’t like a night out with girlfriends supporting a great cause? Well, you are in luck. It’s
time for Nevada Women’s Fund Power of the Purse. For the 15th year, this annual event kicks
off the start of the holiday shopping season.
“We really want to send the message that it’s a fundraiser to empower the woman who’s
carrying the purse; not just a high-end event with expensive purses being raffled off. The whole
evening is a fun opportunity to support our local community and vendors,” Nevada Women’s
Fund President & CEO Ila Achtabowski said.
There will be 30 trend setting designer purses up for raffle during the 3-hour event. Attendees
can expect food, drinks, and shopping with 30 local boutique vendors.
New this year is a VIP hour from 5-6pm. VIPs can expect champagne and first access to
the vendors for a more intimate shopping experience. They also will take part in a VIP only
purse raffle.
The Power of the Purse will take place on Friday, November 18 from 6-9pm at the Reno
Ballroom. They are expecting over 1,000 guests.
