Celebrating 25+ Years of Inspiring Lifelong Alumni Connections and Campus Pride

The Nevada Women’s Fund has named Amy Carothers, Executive Director of Alumni Engagement at the University of Nevada, Reno, a 2025 Nevada Women’s Fund Woman of Achievement in recognition of her professional accomplishments and community impact.

With more than 25 years of dedicated service to the University, Carothers has been a driving force in creating alumni engagement opportunities that build pride, participation and lifelong connections.

Amy Carothers Celebrated for Powering Alumni Engagement and Championing Student Success

In 2024, she and her team offered more than 250 events and programs to serve the University’s more than 112,000 alumni. Carothers recently played a key role in the University’s Great98 license plate campaign, which raised $100,000 to support student scholarships and address food insecurity among students.

“Amy leads with integrity, vision and heart,” said Christina Stoever Young, Nevada Alumni Council president-elect and a 1994 graduate of the University. “Her ability to connect people and inspire action has had a lasting impact on our alumni community and the University as a whole.”

Carothers will be celebrated alongside other distinguished honorees at the Nevada Women’s Fund Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon on Thursday, May 22 at the Downtown Reno Ballroom, 401 N. Center St., Reno.
