Dear Martis Camp Members,

For the 6th year, approximately 150 individuals gathered this past Saturday evening on behalf of the Martis Camp Foundation (MCF) for an unforgettable night under the Milky Way. This year’s Swanky Speakeasy–themed auction broke records! While donations are still being accepted and tallied, we are incredibly close to reaching $1.6 million.

Every dollar raised is in-service to greater Truckee and North Lake Tahoe, approximately 20,000 residents. The MCF provides student scholarships, ambassador scholarships and is currently serving OVER 53 local nonprofits. The magnitude of this lift, within this small mountain community, is nothing short of immense!

Whether ensuring avalanche services have the latest equipment or search and rescue has the most efficient vehicle, the MCF serves as a beacon for need. We provide support for teen suicide prevention, assist with meals on wheels and care for local animal shelters. We nurture creativity through the arts, we encourage responsible outdoor recreation and safe access to trails, shelters and mental health support—to name a few. The Martis Camp Foundation keeps the needs of our community front of mind, always.

A gracious thank you to all that made the time to create this special evening, give so freely of their time and raise funds to ensure the needs of this community are addressed. I’m honored to serve with such a selfless board in what is truly the most beautiful place in the world.

For those who were unable to attend, we are doing a virtual paddle raise this year. Simply email MCF Executive Director Wendy Damonte at wendyd@martiscamp.org with your 100% tax-deductible donation amount and it will be included in our totals for the auction. We are incredibly close to reaching $1.6 million, so every dollar counts. Please donate now. We support over 53 local nonprofits, we are helping to send 15 students to college this year alone, and we support our Ambassadors, like Sara DelGrande from our golf shop, with educational expenses. Your donation matters. Thank you for supporting the Martis Camp Foundation!

With each passing year, the event continues to inspire and make a difference, demonstrating that together we can build a brighter future for all.

For those who missed the event but still wish to contribute, donations to the Martis Camp Foundation are always welcome. Simply email MCF Executive Director Wendy Damonte at wendyd@martiscamp.org. Every contribution helps to further the foundation’s mission and make a lasting difference in the community.
