Creating a Legacy of Helping Students
The University of Nevada Alumni Association is inviting alumni and supporters to become one of “The Great98” – to display their Wolf Pack pride and leave an enduring legacy as the university marks its 150th year and surges ahead on its next 150.
“The sesquicentennial license plates commemorate the incredible and lasting impact that this institution has made and will continue to make in the future.”
University President Brian Sandoval Tweet
The first 98 University of Nevada, Reno sesquicentennial specialty license plates have been set aside for an online auction to raise funds exclusively for student scholarships and the Wolf Pack Provisions program, which helps students in need.
A one-time, tax-deductible donation of at least $1,000 from each numbered plate goes exclusively to those programs.
Be One of the Great98
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help university students now and into the future, retain a meaningful and memorable relic of the university’s great history – and have some fun in doing so by securing “your number.” Maybe it’s the year you or a family member graduated or perhaps when a child was born, the number you wore in college or high school sports.

About the Alumni Association Scholarships: Each year, the Nevada Alumni Association reviews scores of scholarship applications. Every story is unique and although each applicant is deserving of a scholarship, it is not possible to award funding to all students who are in need. The Great 98 will help increase the number of students who receive scholarships and help them achieve the dream of a college degree.
About Pack Provisions: Pack Provisions is the on-campus food pantry that serves the University of Nevada, Reno community. This is a completely free resource that is available for all members of the Wolf Pack to utilize whenever they are in need. This resource can be accessed by students, staff and faculty.
